Ingredients

confectioner's sugar

Instructions

Cake

  1. Mix together 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  2. Heat together, over a medium heat, 2 sticks butter, 1 cup water, 3 tablespoons cocoa. Add this to the flour mix.
  3. Beat together 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon soda, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add to the mix - Batter will be thin.
  4. Grease and flour a shallow pan. Pour in batter and bake for 20 minutes at 350?? F

Frosting

Start 5 minutes before the cake is done.

  1. Heat in a pan, do NOT boil, 1 stick butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 6 tablespoons milk.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 box confectioners sugar,/li>
  3. Pour over cake as it come out of the oven.
